Live CME prices are licensed data, and the exchange requires Hyperprop to know who is receiving them. Until you complete four steps, the terminal shows a checklist over the chart and you will not see live futures prices.
This is the single most common thing standing between a new trader and their first order, and all four steps are quick.
The four requirements
Accept the CME market data agreement. This is the licence itself. Without it, nothing else counts.
Complete your profile. Identity and address details, all fields filled. Partial profiles do not pass.
Link your Discord account. The link has to be verified, not just started.
Hold an active trading account. A redeemed account from your firm, or a free demo account.
It unlocks by itself
You do not need to sign out, refresh or reconnect. The platform re-checks every few seconds while you are waiting, so the chart comes to life within moments of the last step completing, mid-session and without interruption.
You will also get a confirmation email the first time it unlocks.
Crypto works without any of this
Bitcoin perpetual futures are not CME data and are not licensed the same way. Crypto prices are available before you finish the checklist, so if you want to look around the terminal with live prices moving, start there.
If the checklist will not clear
Check every profile field. A single empty field holds the whole thing. This is the most common cause by a wide margin.
Confirm Discord actually linked. Starting the link and not completing the authorisation leaves it unverified.
Confirm you have an active account. An account you have not redeemed yet does not count. A free demo account satisfies this.
Re-open the agreement. If you are unsure whether you accepted it, check your agreements in Settings.
Why access can be withdrawn
Entitlement is checked continuously, not only at sign-in. If the underlying permission is removed the feed stops during your session rather than at the next login. This is a licensing requirement rather than a platform choice.
For the same reason, each connection is recorded for exchange reporting.
