A price alert marks a level on the chart and tells you when price gets there.
Add an alert
Right-click the chart at the price you want and add an alert there. It appears as a line with a bell tag on the price axis.
Once it exists you can drag the line to move the level, the same way you would move an order line.
The conditions
Crossing — triggers when price moves through the level from either direction
Crossing up — only from below
Crossing down — only from above
Greater than — triggers while price is above the level
Less than — triggers while price is below the level
Alerts are one-shot. Once an alert fires it is done, rather than firing repeatedly as price moves around the level.
Alerts only fire while the app is open
This is the important limitation and it is worth being clear about. An alert is delivered as a notification inside the app. There is nothing watching prices on your behalf while the app is closed.
That means:
Closing the tab or the app stops alerts from reaching you.
There are no push notifications.
There are no email or SMS alerts.
Treat alerts as a way to avoid staring at a level while you are working in the platform, not as a way to be called back to the platform when you have left it.
Sounds are separate
The terminal also plays a sound when an order fills or is rejected, with a master toggle in Settings. Those are order events rather than price alerts, and the two are controlled independently.
